2016 Money Journal Entry
Focus of the Day:
Asking for a Raise, Owning My Worth

Transactions:
$4.75 - Coffee before work (Feeling: Nervous, anticipatory. Note: Needed grounding before big conversation).
$18.50 - Lunch alone after meeting (Feeling: Reflective, slightly raw. Note: Took time to process instead of rushing back).
$0.00 - Asked for a raise (Feeling: Activated, proud. Note: No immediate outcome, and feeling just the right amount of angry to ask again. but a major internal shift).

Daily Reflection:
I walked into the conversation prepared, but also with a tightness in my chest. I could hear the internal voice that questions if I am asking for too much. And yet, I did it; I asked clearly and directly. I named my contributions, my growth, and the value I bring. The outcome I wanted is not here. Now I do have clear evidence that it's time to start making changes, and this clarity is priceless. I welcome in fresh determination to no longer wait to be seen. I am aware that I am participating in how I am valued.
