As we approach the end of the year and look toward what is coming next, this is a good time make yourself comfortable, perhaps with a warm cup of tea, open your journal, and take stock without urgency.

Without self-judgement, consider the questions below and let your answers be simple and honest.

1. What did not work out for me in 2025 (so far)?
What plans, efforts, or expectations can you release now so they stop taking up space in your energy and attention?

2. Where does my life feel like "too much" right now?
What commitments, roles, or patterns have become excess? What is still necessary to maintain, and what is deadweight, holding you back?

3. What restores you and helps you make peace with life as it is?
What resource do you truly benefit from these days? Can you make sure to tap into it in during the coming days, especially if holidays get intense?

4. What part of the past is ready to fall away?
Which stories, identities, or resentments no longer belong in the next chapter? What space could open if you allowed them to crumble?

You do not need answers that are perfect or final.
The honesty itself will help you stop carrying what is no longer beneficial.

Why it feels good: Neuroscience shows that consciously letting go reduces the brain’s threat response. Stress hormones drop, clarity improves, and emotional reactivity softens. The nervous system settles, making space for steadier focus and better decisions.
