At work, your inner fire is always at play. You feel it in your energy, focus, and willingness to engage. Sometimes it supports you. Sometimes it runs too hot. Other times it fades, needing care.
Notice your internal energy level the way you would notice a fire in a fireplace. Observe it without trying to change it.
- Is your inner fire running hot and fast?
- Is it steady and workable?
- Is it low and in need of support?
Connect with your belly, the place of digestion. Breathe into it and let your energy gather back from where it has scattered.
Now respond to what you notice:
- If your fire is running hot, slow things down. Drink water. Write a shorter reply. Pause before sending.
- If your fire is steady, protect it. Finish one task before starting another. Keep your current pace.
- If your fire is low, add fuel. Get up and stretch if you can. Eat something. Step away for a few minutes before continuing.
Energy rarely disappears all at once. It gets spent in small moments that add up. Notice when you are burning through.
