This practice invites you to honor the people who came before you and continue to shape your life. These may be family members, teachers, mentors, friends, ancestors, community leaders, authors, artists, spiritual guides, or anyone whose presence still lives in your choices, values, courage, or care.
A Power Spot™ is an intentional space you create from simple objects that feel meaningful, comforting, or wonderful to you. You arrange them to express something important. The setting can be very simple, but with consistent check-ins, the space becomes imprinted with your care. Over time, it can help you feel supported and make it easier to access your inner wisdom when you need it most.
1. Create a small Power Spot™.
Choose a table, shelf, windowsill, or corner of a room. Place a photo, object, candle, flower, card, or written name that represents someone who has influenced you. Keep it simple. The meaning matters more than the arrangement.
2. Pause and notice.
Stand or sit near the Power Spot. Take a few slow breaths. Let yourself look at what you placed there without rushing into a story, explanation, or performance.
3. Name the ripple.
Choose one person and ask: What did I receive from them? Maybe it was love, humor, discipline, protection, creativity, honesty, faith, resilience, practical help, or a way of seeing the world.
4. Ring the bell.
If you have a bell, chime, singing bowl, glass, make one clear sound. Let the sound mark your gratitude. You can say their name out loud, whisper it, or hold it quietly in your heart.
5. Carry it forward.
Ask one final question: How can I live one small part of their wisdom today? Let the answer be simple. Make the phone call. Cook the recipe. Tell the story. Offer the kindness. Stand a little taller. Rest when you need to. Keep going with love.
At our June 4, 2026 Wisdom event, we honored the people who came before us through a simple Ring the Bells ceremony and a Power Spot™ filled with photos and meaningful reminders of those whose love, wisdom, courage, and presence still ripple through our lives.
